You leave the house, walk 50 metres across the plaza and find yourself directly on the kilometre-long sandy beach. There is a bakery and pharmacy in the same house. Within a radius of 100 metres you will find all the necessary things for your daily needs such as a supermarket, bank, butcher's shop, restaurants, cafés as well as other small shops. Activities: Besides the wonderful sandy beaches, the surrounding area offers many other possibilities for activities. With its salt marshes, nature reserves and pine forests, the region invites you to go for long walks, hikes or bike rides. (Interesting cities such as Alicante, Murcia, Cartagena and Elche can be reached within an hour. A trip to the pirate island of Tabarca is also recommended. How to get there: Alicante airport is only 40km away from La Mata. There is also a bus connection here. If you arrive by car, there is free parking in the immediate vicinity.
