The ski season in Chamonix generally starts in November up until April but Chamonix also offers glorious summer weather from June to August. When flying to Chamonix most travellers fly into Genève, which is the nearest airport. From Geneva international airport to Chamonix is approximately 100km and a normal journey time should not exceed 1h15m. Alternative airports include – Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) and Grenoble–Isère Airport (GNB).
