La Magnanerie is a compact dwelling (approx 45m2) for two or three people. Part of the old silk-worm loft, from which the house takes its name, has been transformed into a mezzanine to provide the sleeping accommodation. The remainder has been opened out and merged with the room downstairs, to create a large, light living area over 5m high at its tallest point. An open kitchen and a shower room located underneath the loft complete the low-level interior accommodation.
Outside, there are two secluded areas leading off the living area from which you can enjoy the sunshine. Start the day on the south-facing wooden terrace, then move with the sun to the west, transferring to the stone-paved patio.
The gite shares a large 15x5m swimming pool and jacuzzi and gym with two other gites on the property. The gym features a treadmill, cross-trainer, bike, stepper and rower and, for the really masochistic, a multi-gym weights machine. There is also table football (not in the gym!).
A free wireless ADSL connection is available in all the gites.
We have an organic vegetable garden so fresh produce is always available. In addition, we provide evening meals when required - can be very good on the night that you arrive.

Holiday Gite In
Rocles, Ardeche
The Mas de L'Elze is right in the middle of the Ardechois Cevennes - magnificent countryside with rolling hills and rugged mountains, dropping down to crystal clear rivers in deep gorges.
L'Elze is situated roughly halfway between Largentiere and Valgorge, some 30 kilometres south-west of Aubenas, in the Department of the Ardeche. It is easily reached by road, the main A7 (Autoroute de Soleil) being only 75 minutes away.
The exact location for those of you with SatNav/GPS is E4.21376 N44.57664. But beware of simply typing L'Elze into your SatNav - it may take you somewhere completely different!!! And even a few of the map sites show us where we are not, so please follow the directions below for safety!

Rental Conditions
The holiday prices shown below are the cost of the rental for the first week of occupancy; for subsequent weeks deduct €30 per gite. All prices are in Euros.
We ask for a 20% deposit on reservation.We will refund your deposit if you have to cancel your holiday up to 6 weeks before the period reserved; after that time, we regret that the deposit is forfeit.
All holidays during the season start and finish on a Saturday; off-season we may be able to arrange long weekends under special circumstances.
On your arrival day, you are free to arrive any time after 4pm.
A "Welcome Basket" with a few essentials (as well as some non-essentials!) for your first evening will be waiting for you. You will find all sorts of useful information about the area in a folder in the apartment; if you find out anything during your stay that you feel would be of interest to other guests, feel free to add it to the folder.
We will ask you for a deposit cheque of 150 euros, to cover any breakages, etc.
On your day of departure, we would ask that you leave by 10am. Your deposit cheque will be returned to you by post, following an inspection of the property.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Normally we provide NO linen (sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels, etc), though we can arrange to do so ........for a small extra charge.
