The house is set in a small village and is close to Saintes and Gémozac. The countryside around the village is mostly sunflowers and vineyards and ideal for walking or cycling.

There are sandy beaches about 30 minutes away by car.

The house can be reached in about an hour and a quarter from Bordeaux and La Rochelle airports, and the nearest channel port is St Malo, which is an easy 5 hour drive.
