Details of the Cottage

Accommodation:
2-bedroomed, mid-terrace, 19th century cottage, renovated and refurbished.
Family-friendly: travel cot, high chair, stairgate, child's bed guard, toy box, books and games.
Spacious lounge and dining room, interlinked through an archway.
Smart TV, DVD, DAB radio/Bluetooth speakers
Free WiFi internet.
Kitchen: fridge, freezer, electric oven/gas hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and every bit of kitchen equipment you can think of.
Back door leads into courtyard for hanging out washing, plus patio table and chairs.
Front bedroom: standard full-size double bed (with wonderful views of sea and Chesil Beach).
Second bedroom: 2 full-size single beds
Bathroom: shower over bath, WC, wash hand basin (and the views).

BED LINEN: if you prefer not to bring your own, bed linen may be hired and beds made up ready for you (small additional cost). Already provided are duvets, bedspreads, under pillow slips, bath mats, and, in the kitchen are hand and tea towels.

Mariner's View cottage is located in Weymouth, Dorset

Mariner's View is situated at the southern most point of Weymouth, just before the causeway to Portland. The Fleet Nature reserve and Chesil Beach are just across the road. The Chesil Beach visitor centre (binoculars provided to study rare wading birds) with cafe is 20 minutes walk from the cottage. From the cottage windows, there are wonderful views of the sea, yachts and windsurfers, backed by the cliffs of Portland. Smallmouth Bay, with rocks and a little sandy beach is close to the cottage (at most 5 minutes walk), and is ideal for small children. The South Coast path and Rodwell Trail (one of Julia Bradbury's "Railway Walks") pass close by. The National Sailing Academy in Portland Harbour (which hosted the 2012 Sailing Olympics) is exactly 1 mile away, and its blue building can be seen from the cottage windows.

Ten minutes by car takes you to the town centre for a day on the beach. Alternatively, buses run every 10 minutes from a stop on the main road close by.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

During the peak season, from the end of May to the 4th October, bookings are for full weeks (i.e. 7 nights). However, if any peak season week remains unbooked 21 days prior to the start date, then short breaks can be taken - just email for your requirements.

In the off-peak season, short breaks of any length (except 1 night) may be taken on any days of your choosing - just email for your requirements.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
1. A deposit of 30% of the total is required to secure your booking.
2 Balance of payment is due 8 weeks prior to commencement of holiday.
3. Full payment is due if booking is less than 8 weeks prior to commencement of holiday.
4. If payment is not received by the 8-week deadline, the holiday dates may be cancelled, and payment already received will be forfeited.
5. If you cancel your holiday within the 8-week period prior to commencement of holiday, having made full payment, every effort will be made by me to re-book the cottage to someone else, and, if successful, you will be refunded your payment less the deposit.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
1. Payment by cheque is preferred.
2. Payment by bank transfer can be arranged.
