Set in Le Bec Hellouin - classified as "one of the most beautiful villages in France" - in a wooded valley that cuts deep into the Norman plain the location is rural and very quiet. Close to Rouen and the coastal towns of Le Havre, Deauville, Trouville and Honfleur, the property is ideally situated for days out around Normandy. The D-Day beaches and Bayeux make for great days out. Alternatively, you can just relax in the large enclosed garden where children can play in safety. A recently opened "green way" provides opportunities for long distance walking or cycling. The nearby Champs de Bataille golf course provides great opportunities for a competitive match, while the plan d'eau (water park) in Brionne is great for swimming or just relaxing away the time.

A well equipped kitchen provides all the comforts of home - if you can't face eating out again, why not use the facilities provided to prepare your own meals. All of the utensils and equipment you could ask for are provided from cooker to colander to, most important of all, corkscrew.

Providing 4 large bedrooms, 3 on the first floor and the last on the ground-floor. Upstairs is a large double bedroom with a cot and "z-bed". The other two bedrooms are set up as singles, but in the larger of the two rooms, the beds can be pushed together to form a large double - a king-size duvet is provided for this purpose. The downstairs bedroom is a large double room, with a simple en-suite bathroom.

The upstairs family bathroom is refurbished with sink, bath, WC and excellent shower. A heated towel-rail makes sure you can dry yourself in comfort. The downstairs en-suite provides a bath and sink (and also houses the washing machine). A downstairs WC is also available.

Set in the heart of Normandy, the valley of Le Bec cuts deeply into the Norman plain and runs parallel to the valley of the River Risle of which it is a tributary. The valleys are steep-sided and wooded, making an ideal rural location for a relaxing holiday. Its central location makes Le Bec Hellouin an ideal base for exploring the whole of Normandy - and beyond. There are nearby chateaux that can be explored in an afternoon. Longer trips to the coastal towns of Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville provide opportunities for site seeing and relaxing on the beach. Day trips to Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, Caen and Mont St Michel provide an in-depth experience of the history of Normandy.
