A beautifully modernised and fully furnished cave-house in the heart of stunning unspoilt countryside. Hewn from the rock and set on the edge of the small village of Fuente Nueva, near Orce, and with far reaching views to the mountains, the cave-house is in a wonderful location. Inside the ceilings are high and the rooms are airy and spacious, with most having natural light. The cave has two double bedrooms, two sitting-rooms (one with open fire) ( the other can be a third bedroom with 2 single beds) , dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Outside is a good-sized garden with mature trees for shade, a table and chairs and a barbecue area. The surrounding scenery is very varied, ranging from semi-desert, scrub-covered hills, cut through by fertile irrigated valleys, to high mountain ranges whose lower slopes are clad in vast pine forests. Road access is excellent considering the untouched nature of the region. The cave is about about 1½ hours from Granada airport and around 2 hours from Almeria, Alicante and Murcia San Javier airports.

Granada Province, Inland Andalucia
The cave is around 1½ hours from Granada airport and about 2 hours from Almeria, Alicante and Murcia San Javier airports, the majority of the route being by dual carriageway. Car hire is recommended, though there are good coach services to Orce, from where pick up is easily arranged.
Shops, bars, restaurants and banks can be found in Orce, as well as in Huescar and Maria. There are several natural parks in the area, where the possibilities for walking, picnicking and observing the wildlife are virtually limitless. Anyone interested in archaeology will find plenty to occupy them, with the village and area famous for its archaeological finds.
There is a Moorish castle in Orce, which often houses art exhibitions, as well as a fascinating museum in the Segura Palace. The towns in the region have numerous fiestas, one of the most interesting being Orce's two week long cultural festival in August.
The historic city of Granada is around one and a half hours drive away.

Rental Conditions
Casa-Cueva La Piedra is available for periods of 2 nights or more throughout the year. Please contact us for quotes other than weekly rates.
The property contains 2 double beds in separate bedrooms. A further 2 single beds can also be made up in the second sitting room. A child's cot and high chair are available on request. Prices include bed linen, towels and all fuel, including logs.
For stays of longer than a week, contact us for a special rate.
Full payment in cash due on arrival. If preferred, pre-payment can be made using Paypal (see home page www.lapiedra.net ).
Arrival time is normally from 3.00pm, departure time by 12.00 noon. However we can be flexible with this, depending on occupancy.
