Details of the Chalet

Perched on the mountain side overlooking the village centre, the Chalet is a 15 minute walk up the hill or a 10 minute walk down hill to the main ski lift in Les Houches. This chalet is presently being completely renovated internally and externally and is due to be completed in September 2010. The interior has been renovated to a high specification using the most up to date materials and finishes.

The chalet is on 3 levels: The ground floor comprises the main entrance hall, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, separate WC, utility/drying area and ski room with underfloor heating. Additionally there is covered parking for one vehicle. The first floor consists of a large open plan living area (71 sqm). Here you will find a fully equipped fitted kitchen with granite worktops and breakfast bar, and a dining area seating 10 comfortably. The comfy double height lounge area has a wood burner, which adds warmth and atmosphere to the room. Patio doors on three sides of the room lead onto a magnificent high level sun deck that wraps around the Chalet providing beautiful views of the Mont Blanc Massif. There is a flat screen television, satellite television, DVD player, Bose iPod docking station and WiFi access. A selection of books, games and DVD's are also available. The kitchen is well equipped with modern oven, 5 ringed gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and toaster. The open plan nature of the living area allows the cook to enjoy a glass of wine with the group whilst preparing a slap up meal for everyone.

The second floor has the master bedroom (Bedroom 1) with balcony and fitted wardrobes. There is open plan access to a large ensuite bathroom with twin sinks and an oval shaped bath in the middle of the room. Large picture windows to the front provide great views (this room can be made as a twin or double). Bedroom 2 has a balcony and fitted wardrobes (can be made as a twin or double). Bedroom 3 has fitted wardrobes (twin bedroom) and large picture windows to the front with great mountain views. There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a large bath, separate shower, wash basin and WC.

The chalet is located in a private road. It has covered parking for one car, and off-street parking for up to 6 cars. This is a beautiful Chalet and will be finished to a very high specification. It is in a quiet and peaceful location, yet convenient for everything the Chamonix valley has to offer. It is the perfect place to spend quality time with friends or family. This chalet is sold as self catering but bespoke catered packages including a chef, chalet host and transfers can be provided to allow you to get the most out of your luxury break.

Chalet Brigit is located in Chamonix, Haute-Savoie

The Chamonix Valley is at the foot of Mont Blanc, Western Europe's highest mountain. Geneva airport is approximately 1 hour away with motorway and dual carriageway to within 5 minutes of the apartment. Les Houches is a quiet, calm location yet only 10 minutes drive from the centre of Chamonix. All the ski areas of Chamonix are accessible either by car or by bus (nearest stop 250 metres). The central location gives easy access through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Italy and Courmayer, whilst other resorts within an hour include Verbier, Flaine and St Gevais/Megeve. For summer visitors the medieval town of Annecy is an easy drive away.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

Terms Payment
To make a booking the Client must complete the Booking Form or telephone full details to MBR. No contract shall exist between the Client and MBR until the Booking Form is completed together with a 25% deposit of the total holiday price or full payment if the booking is made within 8 weeks of the booking date. Credit Card payments will incur a surcharge of 2%. Any charges levied by MBR’s bank for foreign transfers or cheque payments are at the Client’s cost.

First Instalment: Upon reservation, the group must pay a deposit or first instalment of 25% of the price of the accommodation within 7 days, or full payment if the booking is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. This first instalment ensures the reservation of the accommodation for the period of your requested stay, until the contract is made.

Once the deposit is received, a confirmation will be emailed to the Client. Please contact MBR immediately if any details are incorrect as it may not be possible to make changes later.

Should you cancel your reservation or contract at any time, your first instalment will not be refunded.

Final Payment: The group undertakes to make the final payment of 75% of the price of the accommodation no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival; in case of late booking, full payment must be made at time of booking. If payment is not received by the due date MBR reserves the right to cancel the arrangements without further notice to the Client and levy the appropriate cancellation charges as detailed below. MBR strongly recommends that the Client has adequate travel insurance in place at this time to cover the deposit in case of cancellation.
