Chalet FiFi in Verchaix is a beautifully renovated detached chalet close to the villages of Samoens and Morillon. For ski enthusiasts the chalet is perfectly situated as the ski bus is only 200m from the chalet door or a 3 minute drive to the ski lift in Morillon. Alternatively, we are just a 5 minute drive from the Express Gondola in Samoens. The gondolas of Morillon and Samoens link the other villages in the 'Grand Massif' ski area including Flaine, Sixt and Les Carroz, offering 265km of superb skiing, perfect for novices to off-piste ski junkies! Morillon is a charming Savoyard village, built around a 16th Century church in the beautiful Giffre Valley. It has a very highly recommended on piste creche which caters for skiing or non-skiing children from 6mths to 10 years and holds the French Governments 'Les P'tits Montagnards' label for its superb child facilities.
In summer Chalet FiFi is just 3 minutes walk from the beach at Lac Bleu in Morillon. The lake itself is the centre of many activities and events such as swimming, horse riding, fishing, quad biking, trampolining, tennis, volleyball and an adventure park. The Verchaix, Morillon and Samoens tourist board are very active and have a fabulous array of adult and children's events such as concerts, films, magicians etc in both summer and winter. Samoens is also the only resort in the French Alps to be listed as an historical monument with its wealth of beauty, tradition and history.
