Since buying in 2003, the owners have renovated and upgraded the house and it is now a home to be proud of, the new kitchen being the most recent improvement.
Three generous bedrooms all with ceiling fans and air-conditioning (no extra charge) comprise 1 x king/twin, 1 x queen/twin and 1 with 3 single beds & cot. All have bedside tables, lamps, wardrobes, dressing tables, long mirror & hairdryer..
The living room is furnished with an attractive 3/2/1 cane suite, occasional tables, book shelves, ceiling fans, telephone, TV, video and DVD.
The kitchen is well equipped & there are 3 dining areas; a formal dining room with large table & upholstered chairs, a spacious veranda with pine table & chairs & a gazebo in the back garden with table and benches - perfect for breakfast.
Two bathrooms serve the property and there is a washing machine for guests' use.
Maid service is included twice per week.
Outside, the main garden is lawned & edged with flower beds with sun loungers on the deck & a big veranda with a cane 3 piece suite & coffee table. Ceiling fans assist the breeze & by night the garden is lit & fairy lights adorn a floral arch.

Across the road, the whole coastal strip is Folkestone underwater National Park and 10 mins walk north to Folkestone itself, there is also a small aquarium.
The two streets of historic Holetown, 5 mins walk away, is where the settlers first landed in Barbados. Today this is home to many restaurants; the whole area has been sympathetically developed to retain traditional Bajan character whilst bringing the local amenities into the 21st century.
The beach and the sea are paramount but there are many other things to see in Barbados - car hire is useful for this. The coastline differs hugely from rugged cliffs and wild seas at North Point to sandy swathes and gentle turquoise lappings on the western side. Inland there is a hilly area know as the "Scotland District" close to Harrison's Caves visitor centre. Several aged plantation houses, rum distilleries, tropical gardens and a wildlife park welcome the public.
Boat trips abound for fishing, relaxing and partying!

The attractive living room is large, light and airy and is furnished with a smart, tropical, cane suite, 3/2/1/ style.
There are remote control ceiling fans/lights, wall lights and lamps, occasional tables, big coffee table, TV unit with TV and video and bookshelves - stacked with choice.
Two sets of french doors lead out on to the verandah and face the main garden whilst a third set open into the formal dining room.
The telephone can be used to make free phone calls around the island and can receive calls from abroad.
The floors of the whole house are tiled to be cool and clean. |

The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. There is a large electric cooker with gas hob, a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, blender etc. and a large fridge freezer.
The kitchen overlooks the rear garden and leads out through the back door to the barbecue and gazebo - a lovely place for breakfast outdoors . |

Inside the wardrobe of the master bedroom is a large safe, big enough to take everybody's money and documents. |

Our prices are always flexible and range from approximately £600 - £1,000 per week depending on the number of guests, the season, and length of stay.
Though Mangoes is big and sleeps seven, couples are particularly welcome and prices will be discounted. Please contact us for a quotation tailored to your needs.
Terms and Conditions (Abridged).
A deposit is required to secure a booking at Mangoes. The remaining balance of payment becomes due eight weeks before the date of departure.
It is recommended that guests take out insurance from the day of booking and for the duration of the holiday, then, should the need to cancel arise, any losses would be covered.
It is also recommended that you ensure that your insurance covers accidents and illness throughout the duration of your holiday.
