Laykin is situated above the village of Low Row in rural Swaledale in the North Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is half way along Wainwright's famous Coast to Coast path and is mid way along the path.
You can get there from the A1 through Richmond or from the M6 through Kirby Stephen or over the unforgettable Buttertubs pass from Hawes in Wensleydale.
