First launched in 2009, this popular in-flight safety video from UK tour operator Thomson was and still is a big hit with its passengers. It features the very cute 'Alice The Chief Steward' as well as other equally adorable junior crew members. Judging from the laughs and 'awwwh's from passengers during the pre take-off video play, its easy to see why this film secures a well-deserved No. 3 spot.

#1 Air New Zealand - An Unexpected Briefing, Hobbit Style
To coincide with the release of Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy, Air New Zealand has produced this epic and fun pre-flight safety film. Many familiar characters from the Hobbit and Lord of The Rings movies are brought together on to this flight to Middle Earth. A mini-movie in itself, the sheer production value of this video and its ability to draw passengers in have sealed the top spot for Air New Zealand.

In fact, Air New Zealand is no stranger to the world of alternative in-flight safety films. In recent years, they have produced several other excellent themed videos featuring the adventurer Bear Grylls, veteran actress Betty White, the All Blacks rugby team, as well as the fantastically hilarious 'Mile-High Madness' video featuring fitness guru Richard Simmons.
